Dr. Stephen K. Huo is an orthopaedic spine surgeon who strives to provide quality care to each patient by tailoring treatments to appropriately address unique pathologies. Native to Southern California, Dr. Huo completed his undergraduate studies Magna Cum Laude at the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science focusing on Neuroscience. He earned his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and then returned to University of California, Irvine to complete his Orthopaedic Surgery residency. He concluded his training with a spine fellowship at Brown University in Rhode Island.

As a spine specialist, Dr Huo addresses ailments of the neck, upper and lower back. His focus is on degenerative disease of the spine, spinal radiculopathy, scoliotic deformities, sciatica, tumor, infections, revision surgeries, and treating osteoporotic conditions of the spine.

Although patients who undergo the appropriate spinal procedure do very well, Dr Huo realizes the importance of adhering to strict surgical indications and that spinal surgery is always a last resort after exhausting non-operative treatment options.

Dr Huo is well-versed in cervical disc replacement, anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF), posterior spinal decompression and fusions, anterior lumbar interbody fusions (ALIF), discectomies, and kyphoplasties for osteoporotic compression fractures.
